Tennessee finished its 2024-25 men’s basketball with a 30-8 (12-6 SEC) record. The Vols were a No. 2 seed and were eliminated by No. 1 seed Houston, 69-50, in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.
Tennessee defeated Wofford, UCLA and Kentucky in the first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
The Vols also advanced to the SEC Tournament championship game, losing to Florida, 86-77.
Florida defeated Houston, 65-63, in the NCAA Tournament national championship game Monday to conclude the 2024-25 college basketball season.
Following the national championship game, the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll was released. The Vols are ranked No. 5 and received 621 points, 154 points behind the top-ranked Gators. Auburn (4) and Alabama (6) are also ranked in the top 10 from the SEC.
