Houston Cougars head coach Kelvin Sampson had an amazing quote during a first half interview of the NCAA men’s national championship game on Monday.
When asked why his team had a slow start on offense to begin the title match for Houston against Florida in San Antonio, the head coach had a hilarious reply. Sampson said that this was a more difficult matchup because it was for a chance to win the Big Dance, not a random game in the middle of the season playing against a non-threatening opponent.
Rather than call out a specific program by name, however, Sampson took the funniest route possible. He made up an entirely fictional school called Sasquatch State.

Fans loved the quote from Sampson and immediately turned his imaginary university into a meme.
It didn’t take long for social media to take the idea and run with it like they did when Sampson mentioned the Toy Poodle League:

Thank you to Sampson for giving everyone a new favorite fake school.
The merchandise for Sasquatch State would admittedly look pretty cool.
