The Chargers hosted Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden on a pre-draft top 30 visit, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Los Angeles has been active in hosting the top wideouts in this year’s class, as they also brought in Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan recently.
Golden is an experienced receiver (32 starts) who averaged at least 20.0 yards per catch in 10 of 16 games in 2024. Additionally, 82 of his 116 career catches resulted in a first down or touchdown.
While he isn’t the most physically imposing at 5-foot-11 and 191 pounds, Golden is a true playmaker with the speed to be a threat vertically or after the catch. He also offers the ability to serve as a returner on special teams.
Golden would give the Chargers the dynamic element they are missing in the positional room.
