Yankees' Jazz Chisholm is hitting as well as Guardians' superstar Jose Ramirez

Jazz Chisholm is on fire.

The evidence is in the numbers for the New York Yankees’ energetic infielder.

On the season, Chisholm has an .876 OPS.

For comparison, Cleveland Guardians superstar Jose Ramirez has an .878 OPS.

In some of the more traditional stats, Chisholm is hitting .251 with 17 homers. He also has 10 steals.

Through July 9, Chisholm has a six-game hit streak. In that span, he is 8-for-23 with three home runs, including his two bombs from Wednesday night.

He has raised his season average from .240 to .251 in the quick jolt.

Going back exactly one month to start Chisholm’s hot streak on June 10, he is 28-for-93 (.301 batting average) with seven doubles, eight home runs and 19 RBI.

Whatever was bugging him right before he went on the injured list early in the year clearly isn’t anymore. Chisholm is raking.

If he keeps this up, it’ll go a long way toward helping the Yankees chase down the Blue Jays in the AL East race.
