Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was named captain of the Eastern Conference for the WNBA All-Star game on Sunday, along with Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier for the Western Conference.
Clark is averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists this season, and her team currently sits 3rd in the Eastern Conference with an 8-8 record.
Clark received over 1,293,596 All-Star votes from fans in 2025, the most of any player in league history.
On top of this incredible feat, the Indiana superstar became the first player in her franchise’s history to be named a captain for the All-Star game.
The WNBA shared this information on its official X account.
“First @IndianaFever All-Star captain in WNBA history mood,” the league posted.

Clark missed five games earlier in the year due to a quadriceps injury she suffered in the May 24 contest against the New York Liberty.
After returning to action for five games, she suffered a left groin injury against the Seattle Storm on Tuesday. She has since missed the following two games and is questionable for their upcoming matchup against the Minnesota Lynx.
This year’s All-Star game rosters are selected through a draft format, in which Clark and Collier choose their teams from a pool of players.
This draft will be televised on ESPN during “WNBA Countdown” on July 8.
The WNBA All-Star Weekend kicks off on July 18, with the 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge, followed by the All-Star Game on July 19.
This year’s events will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Fever, marking the first time the city has hosted the weekend.
