The Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky have had their fair share of struggles to begin the 2025 WNBA season. 

The Fever sit at 9-9 on the year and have missed All-WNBA guard Caitlin Clark for 10 games, including the Commissioner’s Cup championship win. The Sky, meanwhile, hold the second-worst record in the league at 5-12, but Angel Reese is set to make her second All-Star appearance.

Both teams will continue their season this week, with Chicago facing the Washington Mystics on Tuesday and Indiana hosting the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. However, both games are scheduled for the middle of the day.

The Sky will play at 11:30 ET, and the Fever at noon the following day, likely part of the WNBA’s “camp day” initiative, where teams host kids from summer camps for daytime games every season. 

While the WNBA’s “camp days” are well-intentioned, some fans may miss the games due to work. In the Bay Area, fans will have to tune in as early as 9:00 a.m. PT to watch the Valkyries. This may have prompted many to share their frustrations on social media.

“Whose idea was it to have the Fever play at noon on Wednesday???? Some of us are stuck working,” one fan said.

“This whole week, all these early games, and next week Wednesday. Cathy needs to pay for her crimes,” added another.

“Why is there a WNBA game coming on at 11:30 am tomorrow?” asked a third.

“Why is the Mystics/Chicago game on so early tomorrow??? I’m sick of these times,” wrote a fourth.

“The Valkyries will be asleep because it will be 9am West Coast time,” claimed a fifth.

“Ummm can some one explain why our next game against the Indiana fever is at 9am pst on a Wednesday morning???? Wait, and why is Seattle storm playing the sun at 8am??! Is this a typo? @WNBA,” commented a sixth.

Both the Sky and Fever will look to get back into the winning column in their upcoming day games. It is unclear if Clark will be able to return after missing five straight games with a groin injury.
