Wisconsin football class of 2026 wide receiver commit to play in Navy All-American Bowl

Wisconsin football class of 2026 wide receiver Jayden Petit committed to play in the Navy All-American Bowl on Thursday.

Petit, who offered his pledge to Luke Fickell’s program on June 26, will now look to display his offensive skill set to against some of the nation’s most elite collegiate prospects this winter. Slated at the iconic Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the Navy All-American Bowl features the country’s top 100 high school football players in a classic East vs. West matchup.

247Sports ranks the four-star recruit, who headlines UW’s class of 2026, as the No. 209 overall recruit, the No. 31 wide receiver and the No. prospect from his home state of Florida for the class of 2026. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound wide receiver chose the Badgers over finalists with the Oklahoma, North Carolina, Missouri Tigers and Tennessee.

As a junior at First Baptist Academy, Petit reeled in 50 passes for 777 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to a regional final appearance in Florida’s 1A playoffs. During his sophomore year, he broke onto the scene with 66 catches for 1,141 yards and 16 scores on the football field, in addition to averaging 12.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game on the basketball court.

When Petit committed to Wisconsin, he drove the program’s class ranking up to No. 44 in the nation. Since then, the 14-man class has dipped to No. 60 in the country and No. 16 in the Big Ten ahead of Maryland and Nebraska.

Petit is the highest-ranked product in UW’s class of 2026 and is the third wide receiver to pledge his commitment alongside Tayshon Bardo and Zion Legree.

Following his senior campaign in Florida, Petit will now officially display his talents to a national audience. The Navy All-American Bowl will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 1:00 PM ET.
