Manchester City have won two out of two in their FIFA Club World Cup group-stage games, but where could the 2029 edition of the tournament take the club?

Pep Guardiola’s side have made light work of their start to the tournament in the United States, beginning the competition with a 2-0 win over Wydad AC in Philadelphia before a 6-0 thrashing of Al Ain in Atlanta.

City – alongside Chelsea – are representing the Premier League at the Club World Cup, where the eventual winners will win a significant cash windfall in the midst of the summer transfer window.

Manchester City have made a fast start to the summer window by securing the arrival(s) of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki – who have all flown to the United States as part of the Club World Cup squad.

Ben Jacobs is reporting that FIFA have received from each of the United States, Spain, Brazil and Morocco to host the 2029 edition of the Club World Cup, which has drawn widespread interest from clubs across the globe.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
