When will Christian Moore return to Angels from injured list?

Former Tennessee baseball player Christian Moore made his MLB debut on June 13. He has appeared in 18 games for the Angels in 2025.

Moore was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a left thumb sprain. His injury occurred at Atlanta on Wednesday after diving for a ground ball and landed on his hand.

Los Angeles has eight games remaining in the first half of the season before the All-Star break. The Angels’ final contest before the All-Star Game is slated for July 13 versus Arizona, and would be 11 calendar days after his first day on the injured list (July 3).

In 18 games this season, Moore has recorded a .189 batting average, three home runs, eight RBIs, eight runs, 10 hits, 21 total bases, eight walks and 20 strikeouts.

He was selected by the Angels in the first round (No. 8 overall) of the 2024 MLB draft. Moore played at Tennessee from 2022-24 and appeared in 186 games, totaling 61 home runs, 160 RBIs and 179 runs.

He appeared in 72 games for the Vols in 2024, recording a .375 batting average, 34 home runs, 74 RBIs, 83 runs and 38 walks during Tennessee’s national championship season.
