Jake Paul confirms his biggest challenge yet as he locks in a heavyweight clash with Anthony Joshua.

Jake Paul’s rise in boxing has been anything but ordinary—and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Coming off a decision victory over former WBC champion Julio César Chávez Jr.—a win that earned him a No. 14 cruiserweight ranking with the WBA, Paul now carries more credibility in the sport than ever before. Add in his Netflix mega-event featuring Taylor Serrano 3, which shattered women’s boxing records, and you’ve got a fighter making waves across the sport. Now, his next move is set—and it’s his biggest yet.

Last Saturday at Wembley Stadium, while the world watched Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois in a heavyweight unification showdown, Paul confirmed that his anticipated bout with Anthony Joshua will happen in the heavyweight division.

In a clip shared by Happy Punch, he stated: ‘This is where it’s going to happen [Wembley Stadium]. We are trying to do the unthinkable and create one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing.’ When asked if it was realistic, he didn’t hesitate: ‘It’s not about if it’s realistic or not—it’s going to happen. When I knock him out, I’ll go down in the history books.’

This fight is by far the biggest risk of Paul’s career. Competing at heavyweight isn’t up for debate—it’s confirmed. His only prior experience at this weight was an exhibition with a 59-year-old Mike Tyson.

Facing Joshua, a former world champion, is a different reality entirely—power, size, and pedigree on another level. With negotiations underway, this matchup is expected to generate major hype for the heavyweight division. With both Paul and Joshua’s star power, this bout would be a blockbuster.
