The Ravens still have one of the deepest teams in the NFL after several key departures and the retirement of Michael Pierce during the offseason. Such attrition provides the opportunity for younger players on the roster to assume larger roles while maintaining a Super Bowl window for a team that’ll have new starters at several key defensive positions.
Over the next two weeks, we will conduct mini-previews of the four AFC North teams as they begin reporting for training camp, with the Ravens’ rookies set to report a week from Tuesday. Cleveland is next, with Cincinnati reporting on July 19 and Pittsburgh reporting on July 23.
With mid-July fast approaching, we’re looking at what Ravens fans should know about the Cincinnati Bengals before training camp begins.

Will the Steelers’ free-agent additions pan out?
Pittsburgh added Aaron Rodgers right before mandatory minicamp, pairing the future Hall of Famer with a three-headed monster at running back, DK Metcalf at wide receiver, and a recently acquired Jonnu Smith to pair with Pat Freiermuth. On defense, Darius Slay signed in free agency. The recently acquired Jalen Ramsey will join him to give Pittsburgh a dynamic trio at the cornerback position, along with Joey Porter Jr.
How did the Steelers approach the NFL draft?
The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ 2025 draft class includes Derrick Harmon (DL), Kaleb Johnson (RB), Jack Sawyer (EDGE), Yahya Black (DL), Will Howard (QB), Carson Bruener (LB), and Donte Kent (CB/PR).
Harmon led the FBS with 34 QB pressures when lined up as a defensive tackle, and he was second with a 10.7% pressure rate. Harmon should be a key piece of reinforcing the Steelers’ run defense, while his pass rush abilities have the potential to make him a coveted three-down player. At 6-foot-1 and 224 pounds with a physical playing style, Kaleb Johnson could overtake Jaylen Warren and Kenny Gainwell for the top running back spot.
When does training camp begin for the Pittsburgh Steelers?
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ training camp, held at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, will begin with player reporting on July 24, according to Saint Vincent College. The first practice open to the public will be on July 25th. The annual “Friday Night Lights” practice will be held at Latrobe Memorial Stadium on August 1st, according to Steelers.com.
