What are the Jets' top-three needs ahead of the 2025 NFL draft?

The 2025 NFL draft has arrived and every team has needs to address… the New York Jets included.

Over the next three days in Green Bay, the Jets and head coach Aaron Glenn will hope to address those. Heading into the draft, New York holds eight total selections including No. 7 overall. That could change.

Of those needs, what are the top ones?

Here are the Jets’ top-three needs ahead of the 2025 draft:

Right tackle

The Jets’ offensive line had a solid 2024 season despite injuries. The unit showed promise.

However, now the team needs a right tackle. Despite New York selecting Olu Fashanu with their first-round pick a year ago, another could be picked early again. Specifically, Missouri’s Armand Membou has been a popular mock selection for the Jets with the seventh slot.

Veteran tackles Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses are no longer on the roster.

Tight end

It feels like the Jets will take a tight end at some point during the draft. Former Los Angeles Chargers tight end Stone Smartt signed during free agency, but New York still does not have a seasoned NFL player at the position after Tyler Conklin left during free agency.

Wide receiver

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (5) is shown as he warms up, Sunday January 5, 2025, in East Rutherford.

With Davante Adams out, Garrett Wilson is the No. 1 receiver for the Jets… but he can’t do it all alone. The starting spot across from him feels wide open and a rookie is likely going to be selected at some point.
