Wednesday's local baseball roundup: Papetti clouts Bravehearts past Norwich

Bravehearts 11, Norwich 7: Former Worcester Academy star Cam Papetti of Grafton hit two home runs and a double, scored three runs and drove in four while boosting a 15-hit attack for host Worcester (16-8) over the Sea Unicorns (9-14).

Kaleb Woodward and Ryan LeClair each added three hits, and Evan O’Rourke doubled twice.

Aiden Cardoza earned the win in relief with 3⅔ innings of shutout, one-hit ball with six strikeouts. He has posted a 0.73 ERA over six appearances and 12⅓ innings.

Main South 3, Cherry Valley 2: Cooper LeBlanc singled to lead off in the seventh inning, was balked to second, and after Emilio Silva-Rosa and Cam Fenner walked to load the bases, scored the winning run on a wild pitch for host Post 341 (4-5-1) at Tivnan Field.

Chase Eggen’s infield hit scored Caden Lane (2 hits) in the sixth for Main South, then Kam Stout scampered home on a wild pitch for a 2-1 lead.

Lucas MacNevin’s third-inning groundout delivered John Laverdue with the game’s first run for Cherry Valley (1-6), which tied the game in the seventh when Liam Doyle scored on a wild pitch.

Leominster 2, Shrewsbury 1: Alex Coco scattered six hits without allowing an earned run, and Nolan Tetreault (2 for 3) singled in Cam Cirone with the winning run in the sixth inning as host Post 151 (10-2) edged Post 397 (8-3) at McLaughlin Park. Both teams are 7-2 in District 4 play.

Leominster’s tying run came in the fifth when Mark Garner reached on an error.

Shrewsbury’s Joey Guidotti struck out seven in six innings, Andrew Schmit doubled in a run in the third, and Tommy Kursonis went 2 for 3 with a double.

Hudson 11, Grafton 4: Chase Barrett and Brady Quirion each drove in two runs, and Dylan Romano had two hits for visiting Post 100 (5-5, 4-5 District 4), which ran off seven runs in the fifth inning as manager Ryan Bowen notched his 100th victory. Each player in the Hudson lineup scored at least one run.

Charlie Law was 3 for 4 for Grafton (4-7), and teammate Jonathan Schiappa had two hits and two RBIs.

Framingham 6, Northborough 4: Jack Maude’s three-run double in the first inning sparked host Post 117 (3-6) at Bowditch Field.

Sawyer Kittredge drove in two runs for Northborough (4-5).
