Michigan State football took care of business in its opener against Western Michigan, but there’s still plenty of room for improvement according to head coach Jonathan Smith.

Smith met with the media following the Spartans23-6 victory over Western Michigan on Friday night, and highlighted there was plenty of positives out of the win but still areas for the Spartans to get better. That’ll be even more important with a big-time marquee non-conference game coming up next week against Boston College.
