WATCH: Jon Gruden opens swag package from Ohio State

There are more Ohio natives in and around all levels of football than most of us really know. The very fabric of the game has the Buckeye state all over it, from the NFL Hall of Fame, many current and former coaches, college and professional Hall of Fame players and coaches, and even the NFL offices once resided in Columbus at one time. There are a bushel of football media personalities that have Ohio blood pumping through their veins as well.

One of those is the fiery, former NFL head coach Jon Gruden, who is now employed by Barstool Sports as a media personality. If you know football, you know Gruden. He is famous for his quarterback workups for the rookie quarterback class preparing for the NFL draft, and has been the head coach of the Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he led the team to a Super Bowl XXXVII win.

Recently, Gruden received a pretty cool package, one with a national championship logo emblazoned on it. Inside that box was some national title gear from Ohio State, complete with shoes, hoodies, golf balls, a signed jersey from Will Howard, a thank you note from Ryan Day, and more.

And if you didn’t know, Gruden too is a Buckeye, and that was evident as he ripped through some of the legends that wore the Scarlet and Gray as he rummaged through all the goodies THE Ohio State program sent him. Gruden was born in Sandusky, Ohio, and played his college ball in the state. According to him, he grew up dreaming of being an Ohio State player.

One thing we know is that there’s nobody who can open a package of swag with the competitive commentary of Jon Gruden.
