Watch Jase Richardson score the first basket of his pro career at NBA Summer League

After being drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft, Jase Richardson is now suiting up for the Orlando Magic against the Sacramento Kings at NBA Summer League, and he didn’t wait long to get on the scoreboard.

As Michigan State basketball fans saw plenty of times when he was in East Lansing, Jase Richardson found some space after Devin Carter of the Kings made the mistake of going under on a screen, and calmly drilled a three-pointer with his signature smooth shot to get his first points as a pro basketball player.

You can see the former Spartan star hit his first three-pointer in the NBA below:

So far, I’ve thought Richardson has looked comfortable, especially in what will presumably be his new role at point guard. He also has looked solid on defense, which was one of the primary concerns about him in the draft process, along with a knee injury he had suffered back in high school.
