It took longer than most fans would have liked, but the Iowa Hawkeyes have finally scored their first touchdown of the 2025 season.
Following an uninspired offensive start, featuring a pair of punts, the Hawkeyes kept the ball on the ground for their first touchdown drive of the season. Redshirt freshman running back Xavier Williams was the bellcow that series and finished off the drive with a three-yard rushing touchdown.

The Hawkeys lead Albany 10-7 after that scoring drive and will look to keep the offense going against the Great Danes. The running game is figuring things out, and Mark Gronowski needs to settle in to give the Hawkeyes another offensive dimension.
