The lohud Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week poll, presented by White Plains Hospital, launched in early April and wraps up this week with only one team left playing.
This week’s poll will cover last week’s playoff games, which concluded June 7.
Last week, Pelham’s Taylor Green won and Horace Greeley goalie Darby Robertson was the runner-up.
Green, who’ll play next year for Stonehill College and who won the vote after a week in which she 11 goals and two assists over the Pelicans’ Class C quarterfinal and semifinal games, joined previous 2025 winners Juliana Somma, Nanuet; Caitlyn Hyatt, White Plians; Kaitlyn Flanagan, Brewster; Sophia Bueti, Fox Lane; Olivia Saccomanno, Brewster; Mabel Arrighi, Bronxville; Ashley Cindrich, North Salem; Zoe Stonecipher, Fox Lane.
This week, coaches nominated five athletes. Recaps of their performances are below.
There are no voting restrictions but the poll will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Ella Collins, Pleasantville
The junior attacker netted a game-high six goals as the Panthers captured their first ever Section 1 girls lacrosse title, defeating longtime powerhouse Bronxville in the Class D championship game.
Katherine Ebeling, Rye
The senior goalie had a huge game, making 12 saves, as Rye fell by just a goal to nationally-ranked Nyack in the Section 1 Class C championship game.
Rowan Edson, Horace Greeley
The University of Colorado-bound senior finished her high school career in the Quakers’ Section 1 Class B finals loss to Yorktown by scoring twice, adding an assist and using her quickness to beat Yorktown to eight balls off the draw.
Michaela Fay, Suffern
The junior midfielder scored four times, including netting the key insurance goal, and also had two assists as Suffern defeated Huntington 11-9 in a Class A state regional final to advance to the state semifinals. Earlier, she scored the game-winner and had six goals overall while also grabbing 13 balls off the draw in Suffern’s 18-8 Section 1 championship win over Wappingers.
Ella Gould, Nyack
The junior midfielder, who’s committed to play for the University of Michigan, was strong on both ends of the field in Nyack’s one-goal win over Rye for the Section 1 Class C championship and in its state regional final loss to to Bayport-Blue Point. Gould scored six times over the two games, netting hat tricks in both, to finish her season with 44 goals and 34 assists.
