The Minnesota Vikings entered training camp mostly healthy. Only two players started camp out on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list. And two offensive linemen who suffered season-ending injuries in 2024, Christian Darrisaw and Will Fries, were cleared to practice. However, they were going to begin camp by participating in individual drills only.
Josh Metellus was one of the few names added to the injury report at the end of the first week of camp. He returned to practice on Monday after missing Friday and Saturday with an ankle injury.
Justin Jefferson missed Monday’s practice again due to a mild hamstring strain, which the team is choosing to be cautious with.
Fries, who participated only in individual drills last week, was the team’s starting right guard in 11-on-11 drills Monday. It was a matter of time before he was inserted into team drills, but it’s reassuring to see it happen on the first day of pads.
Will Fries is out there at right guard on the first-team offensive line as 11-on-11s begin. Donovan Jackson still at LG.

Undrafted free agent rookie Chaz Chambliss, who was one of the two players to start camp on the PUP list, was activated to the active roster on Monday and practiced. Chambliss is an EDGE defender from Georgia. That leaves rookie tight end Gavin Bartholomew as the lone player on the PUP list.
