In this new series, countdown to kickoff, we will be counting down the days by highlighting a notable Trojan who wore each number. Not a ton of high-profile players have worn the No. 30 in Cardinal and Gold, but today, we look at former USC running back D.J. Morgan.

Position: Running back

Years played at USC: 2010-2014

Career highlights: After redshirting as a true freshman in 2010, Morgan served as a backup running back for USC in 2011 and 2012. He finished those two seasons with 388 yards from scrimmage and two total touchdowns. However, injuries caused him to miss the entire 2013 and 2014 seasons.

After USC: Due to his injuries, Morgan was granted a sixth year of eligibility in 2015, for which he transferred to Division II Azusa Pacific. He finished the year with 19 carries for 81 yards and one touchdown, while also adding one reception for 11 yards.
