USA Today reveals brutal reason Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders didn’t visit Shedeur at Browns training camp

Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders didn’t visit Berea, Ohio, for Cleveland Browns training camp because Shedeur Sanders knew he wouldn’t get enough snaps to make it worth the trip.

The “Grown QB” allegedly knew his snap count would be low. With Coach Prime’s revelation that he was battling bladder cancer all summer, the chance for fatherly stress would’ve been high, and Kevin Stefanski certainly wouldn’t have been better off for it.

“Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders told his father Deion that he didn’t want him to visit him at Browns’ training camp last week because he might only get three or four snaps at practice as a rookie fifth-round draft pick,” USA Today’s Brent Schrotenboer wrote.

“Shedeur Sanders has remained a low man on the Browns’ totem pole in a quarterback competition that includes veteran Joe Flacco, third-round draft pick Dillon Gabriel and former Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett.”

Kenny Pickett’s hamstring injury opened up more opportunities for Sanders, but there has not been much in the way of progress for Coach Prime’s youngest son.

Dillon Gabriel is a “dark horse option” that’s quickly gaining ground in the Browns’ quarterback battle. Joe Flacco is Mr. Reliable for Stefanski as someone who stepped in and made things work during the 2023 season.

Shedeur is not worth a flight at this point in training camp.

We’ll see how long a trip to Cleveland is even on the table for Deion to Shedeur.
