University of Kentucky signee named Miss Softball 2025: See who earned All-State honors

Lexington Catholic High School senior pitcher Abby Hammond has been named 2025 Miss Softball by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.

Hammond posted a 14-7 record and 0.97 ERA while striking out 196 batters over 136 2/3 innings. She also batted .371 with seven home runs and 14 RBIs.

A University of Kentucky signee, Hammond posted a career record of 118-29 in five seasons on the Lexington Catholic varsity team, finishing with 1,328 strikeouts. She was named Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year as a freshman and a junior.

Two players from state champion Assumption earned first-team All-State honors in Class 3A – Lauren Satterly and Lauren Campisano.

Player of the Year honors in each class went to South Warren’s Layla Ogden (3A), Harrison County’s Bella Persinger (2A) and Livingston Central’s Addison Tramble (A).

Softball in Kentucky is a one-class sport, but the coaches association uses a three-class system (based on enrollments) for postseason awards.
