The UConn Huskies men’s basketball team continues to make the necessary moves to compete for national titles under head coach Dan Hurley.
UConn has won two of the last three national titles, having earned their stripes in 2023 and 2024. Last season, they suffered a postseason loss in the second round.
Now, as Hurley and his staff prepare for a new season, the Huskies have added several transfers, looking to make an immediate impact on the team.
One of their latest additions is transfer guard Alec Millender.
“Welcome to Storrs, Alec,” posted the official social media account of the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team on Sunday.
As Millender makes the transition to the UConn Huskies, he sent a message to fans before his debut.
“Ready to get to work man, happy to be here,” Millender said. “Just excited to be here man. Got in the gym a little bit, shot around and I’m just really excited to get with the guys man, play in front of Husky nation. I can’t wait, just brining that energy, that liveliness every day, every day to the team, to the fans, to the world.”
