UConn Football welcomes Central Connecticut State for Season Opener

UConn Football opens the 2025 season this Saturday by welcoming the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils to Rentschler Field, with kickoff set for 2:00 pm ET. Before we dive into the matchup, let’s take a look at what the Huskies are going against in their home opener.

The defending Northeast Conference Co-Champions are coming off a solid 2024 campaign. After posting a 7-5 regular season record and qualifying for the FCS playoffs for the first time since 2019, the Blue Devils enter 2025 with high expectations, bolstered by the return of key players from the previous season.
