There are 36 holes in the books at the 2025 U.S. Open, and the field has been cut in half. A total of __ golfers are headed toward the weekend with hopes of capturing a major championship at the esteemed Oakmont Country Club.
The defending U.S. Open champion, Bryson DeChambeau, will not be one of those players. He’ll be heading home after failing to make the cut with a disappointing pair of scores, finishing 10 over and three shots behind the cutline.
But some of DeChambeau’s comrades will be representing LIV Golf at Oakmont over the weekend.
Among those are past U.S. Open champions Brooks Koepka (2017, 2018) and Jon Rahm (2021), who are looking to add yet another trophy to their mantle, while players like Tyrell Hatton and Carlos Ortiz find themselves in contention for their first major championship title.
