Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill is one of the NFL’s best at beating the league’s top defensive backs.
That also gives Hill a good eye for assessing defensive back play across the NFL and on the Dolphins‘ roster. On Friday, Hill was asked which young cornerback has caught his eye.
“Storm. Storm, he’s doing a great job. He’s been doing a great job. He’s really patient at the line of scrimmage. He’s strong. Real quiet, though. He’s humble and he wants to be great.
“Me and him had a conversation this offseason. He asked me, he was like, ‘Reek, how are you able to stay in the league this long? What are some of the things you’ve done.’ And I gave him my insight. As an older player looking at a younger player, I was like, this dude is gonna be good in this league, because he wants to be great, comes to work every day, busts his tail, isn’t scared to compete. Goes against (Jaylen) Waddle, goes against myself and he’s only going to get better,” Hill said.

A second-year pro out of Louisville, Duck signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent. The 6-foot, 195-pound cornerback played in 14 games last season and started three.
The Dolphins are searching for new faces to emerge at corner. Jalen Ramsey was sent to Pittsburgh this offseason as part of the trade package that brought safety Minkah Fitzpatrick back to the Dolphins.
Miami signed former Raiders cornerback Jack Jones and the 27-year-old corner enters this season with a chip on his shoulder. But, the Dolphins need multiple players to ascend at corner and it’s great news that Duck has been turning heads for Miami in training camp.
