Touted Georgia Quarterback Makes Final Decision in College Football Transfer Portal

The Georgia Bulldogs’ quarterback room is seeing quite some changes this offseason. Carson Beck, star signal-caller, chose to go play for the Miami Hurricanes. And now, another from the team has decided to move on.

Four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada has selected Sacramento State as his landing spot in the transfer portal. The former Georgia and Arizona State signal-caller, who began his journey as a sought-after high school prospect, announced his decision via Instagram.

Rashada, eligible for three more seasons, will vie for the Hornets’ starting role under new head coach Brennan Marion, who has touted his ability to revitalize FCS offenses.

Rashada’s commitment marks his fourth program since 2023. He first signed with Florida and later transferred to Arizona State, where he started three games as a freshman and passed for 485 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions before a season-ending knee injury.

After spending 2024 at Georgia as Carson Beck’s backup without taking a snap, he re-entered the portal.

With him gone, the Bulldogs’ 2025 quarterback room centers on sophomore Gunner Stockton, who is predicted to be the QB1 for the team this fall after his performance in G-Day game, and redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi, a four-star Elite 11 graduate pushing for reps with his confidence and accuracy. Both will vie to replace Carson Beck.
