Top Florida Targets Shine in Prospect Showcase originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The 2027 recruiting cycle for college football coaches is heating up. With numerous recruits making decisions on their future over the past several weeks, the prime time for prospects to wow schools is now.
With that, the 2025 Under Armour All-America Future 50 was held over the weekend at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. This showcase held the top prospects from around the country in the 2027 recruiting class.
As it concluded on Saturday, Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman released his top 10 performers from the Future 50. This list was loaded with top targets for Billy Napier’s Florida Gators, including three players who made visits to UF last weekend.
The three recruits who were a part of UF’s “Grill in the Ville” event last weekend and were named top performers in Bradenton this weekend were Elijah Haven, Grant Haviland and Zayden Gamble.
Haven is the most highly touted name on this list. The five-star quarterback in On3’s rating is the No. 1 overall prospect in the country for the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. Haven, who attends Dunham School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has incredible size at 6-foot-5 and the athletic ability to match. He will undoubtedly be one of Napier’s highest-valued targets after showing out this weekend.
Haviland is a four-star tight end from Milton High School. He is the No. 6 player from the state of Georgia and 3rd best at his position in the nation, per Rivals. The 6-foot-5 tight end consistently got separation from defensive backs at the Future 50 and connected with Haven for a touchdown catch during the showcase. This duo is something Florida hopes to see in The Swamp in the near future.
Gamble is a Florida native who attends St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale. He is a four-star safety who is ranked the 11th best overall in the state and No. 11 at his position in the country. Gamble showed great versatility and stickiness in one-on-one drills this weekend.
The Future 50 showcase was not only a success for all the athletes involved but also for Napier and his staff, who hope to improve their class of 2027 commits in the coming weeks.
