Titans Finally Agree to Terms With Second-Round Pick Right Before Training Camp

The Tennessee Titans, along with the rest of the NFL, have had trouble this offseason striking deals with their respective second-round picks from this year’s draft. Two second-rounders got fully guaranteed contracts from their team, and now every player wants the same deal.

For the Titans, this player was Oluwafemi Oladejo, an outside linebacker from UCLA who was selected with the No. 52 overall pick in 2025. With training camp starting this week in Tennessee, getting this young player on the field was paramount for the organization.

Last week, the dam began to break as several teams started signing their second-rounders to contracts, setting a precedent for the Titans to do the same. On Monday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the team did just that, signing Oladejo to his rookie deal.

The Titans officially announced the news on Monday evening as well, meaning that now the entire nine-player draft class is under contract ahead of training camp. New general manager Mike Borgonzi will see this class in preseason action for the first time on August 9.

Oladejo played two collegiate seasons at California before transferring to UCLA. All told, he recorded 240 tackles, including 25 for a loss, as well as 6.0 sacks, two interceptions, six passes defended and three fumble recoveries at the college level.

It is unclear exactly how defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson plans to employ the young player, as he can move around quite a bit on defense. Last year at UCLA, he played primarily on the defensive line, but also lined up in the box and as a slot corner (via PFF).

Right now, he is penciled in as a backup to Arden Key as an outside linebacker and edge rusher hybrid. At roughly 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, this seems like a solid place for Oladejo to make an impact as a rookie in 2025.
