Titans Delete Controversial Father's Day Post

Titans Delete Controversial Father’s Day Post originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The Tennessee Titans’ social media team found themselves under fire today as fans lampooned their message for Father’s Day. On a day when people celebrate the fathers in their lives, the Titans sent another message.

Fans on X were quick to point out that the team’s post celebrated mothers and fatherly figures, rather than fathers. The post was subsequently deleted, but screenshots are still being shared on X.

“Lmao got everyone but the dads,” said Buck Reising of AtoZ Sports Nashville in a post on X.

Amber Harding of Outkick pointed out that this was likely just a copying and pasting mistake, noting that the message was very similar to the one the Titans sent out on Mother’s Day.

Titans have not replaced the post since it was deleted, opting to celebrate 615 Day, a celebration in Nashville that got its name from the city’s area code

Many fans found the mistake to be comedic, taking to X to post their jokes about the post.

“Thank you @Titans for wishing my ex-wife a happy Father’s Day,” one fan posted on X.

Other fans were upset with the Titans for not properly wishing Father’s a happy holiday.

“Moms? Look, I love my mom, but this day is for the dads,” said another user on X. Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads out there.”

Another fan thought that this mishap was indicative of other types of dysfunction within the team.

“We can’t even get Father’s Day right..this organization,” said the fan.
