The Panthers tweeted about Cam Newton again!

When an NFL team pays homage to one of their franchise greats on social media, it’s usually not a newsworthy development. But it certainly is when it comes to the Carolina Panthers and Cam Newton.

Despite making beautiful music together for nearly a decade, the Panthers and Newton haven’t been too harmonious in recent years. Between their ugly divorce in 2019 and Newton’s perception that the organization has “avoided his legacy,” the franchise and their all-time leading passer aren’t in the healthiest of relationships.

That dynamic, however, might be on the mend.

Fans went into a little bit of a frenzy yesterday, when the Panthers posted the following to their socials in anticipation of the 2025 NFL draft . . .

The post was then acknowledged by Newton over on Instagram, where he replied with his version of “Love.”

And after got the fans going, this—from the very next day—had them absolutely humming . . .

Two nods to Newton, let alone one, may indicate that the sides are closing in on a reconciliation. Heck, some of the Carolina faithful have even speculated that the organization is hinting towards a number retirement for the former Most Valuable Player.

Could that be the case? Possibly.

Only time, or perhaps the next tweet, will tell.
