The Oregon Duck has a nasty habit of losing its head, but even the beloved mascot seemed genuinely startled by how badly the top went rolling during the Saturday run out at home.
As the Ducks got the season started against Montana State, the mascot head fell off the poor college kid in the costume. The Oregon Duck (sans duck head) went running for the tunnel as somebody else picked up the duck head and followed in stride.
Look, nobody is going to hold it against the Oregon Duck to lose his top every now and again, but this is especially comical for how the mascot suit went running away with its head on the ground. Stuff like this never gets old.

Will this be a bad sign for the Oregon season? Is it a sign that Oregon is indeed back? There’s at least plenty to quack about with this latest accidental mascot de-heading.
