Tez Johnson goes viral for TD celebration after first NFL score

Former Oregon Ducks wide receiver Tez Johnson has been relatively quiet so far in the NFL, but he finally made waves during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ final preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. After just 24 yards through the first two weeks of the preseason, the speedy pass catcher exploded for 58 yards on eight catches.

But the attention he brought on himself had nothing to do with his performance itself. Johnson went viral after for his wild celebration after catching a touchdown pass in the second quarter. After briefly celebrating with his teammates, Johnson got a running head start before cartwheeling into a backflip where he seemed to float in the air because of how much hang time he got.

Johnson made a name for himself at Oregon for his rare elusiveness and breakaway speed, but nobody knew he had this in his arsenal. The touchdown and celebration capped off a tremendous day for Johnson as the seventh-round pick fights to earn himself a roster spot in Tampa Bay.
