Kicker claims that Stuttgart’s previously reported upon interest in FC Barcelona talent Noah Darvich will soon result in a concrete offer. The Swabians are nevertheless not alone in their pursuit of the former Freiburg academy man. Mundo Deportivo also reports interest from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen. A move to the Bundesliga seems very likely for Darvich now.
Among the players who captured both the U17 European and World Championships with current German Women’s national team head coach Christian Wück, Darvich remains a hot commodity. Freiburg sold the German-Iraqi attacking midfielder in August 2023 for €2.5m. He’s featured for the Barça reserves over the past two seasons.
Precisely how much Wück’s former squad captain will cost his next Bundesliga club remains a mystery. It’s been largely reported that a release clause was built into the highly talented prospect’s contract, but the amount is not known. The now 18-year-old currently maintains an estimated €2m market value.
It has been reported – by transfermarkt.deamong others – that Barça secured an additional €2.5m in bonuses as part of their deal with Darvich’s home-town-club. It thus stands to reason that the La Liga champions will at least attempt to recoup the full €5m in any sale.
