On April 6, the Houston Rockets dealt the Golden State Warriors a 106-96 defeat at Chase Center to snap a five-game win streak in the regular season.
During the Warriors’ loss, Stephen Curry struggled against the Rockets, scoring only three points on 1-of-10 shooting from the field and 1-of-7 shooting from deep.
On Sunday in Houston, Curry bounced back against the Rockets. The All-Star point guard scored a game-high 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field with five made triples.
Curry handled Houston’s swarming defense thoughout the contest while drilling multiple tough shots, including a must-see triple over Jalen Green.
With the Rockets threatening a comeback in the fourth quarter, Curry buried a highlight-reel jumper with the shot clock ticking down. With only seconds left to shoot, Curry dribbled the ball to the corner with seemingly no where to pull up for a long-distance shot. While it looked like the Warriors were headed towards a shotclock violation, Curry launched a high-arcing 3-pointer over Green that spalshed through the net and stunned the Houston crowd.
