On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers reported to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for training camp. This camp will be unique for the Steelers with so many new players on the roster who could end up in the starting lineup by the start of the season.
None of the new players on the Steelers will be more important to the success of this team than quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers added Rodgers just days before the team’s mandatory minicamp and Rodgers missed all of the team’s voluntary offseason work.
But don’t tell head coach Mike Tomlin about that. He addressed the media on Wednesday from training camp and sounded very confident in Rodgers being ready to hit the ground running and taking on a heavy workload throughout training camp and the preseason. Tomlin even went so far as to refer to Rodgers as a “workaholic,” which is something we aren’t sure still applies, but certainly was a part of his game for a long time.
