South Carolina football, Shane Beamer land 4-star twin brothers Andrew and Aiden Harris

COLUMBIA — Andrew and Aiden Harris, four-star rated twin brothers from Matthews, North Carolina have committed to South Carolina football in the 2026 recruiting class.

Coach Shane Beamer reposted the news on X on June 7, then tweeted back-to-back, “Welcome Home” tweets, something he does right before or after a player commits to the Gamecocks. Aiden then reposted the news on his personal X account.

Aiden, a 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive lineman is rated the No. 4 player in the state of North Carolina by the 247Sports Composite rankings. Andrew, also a DL, is 6-foot-2 235 pounds and is rated the No. 17 player in the state.

The twins from Weddington High School took an official visit to South Carolina on June 6, and then committed the next day. Andrew and Aiden both posted images on campus, next to a statue of the program’s mascot Cocky on June 7.

According to MaxPreps, Aiden has 136 solo total tackles through three seasons and his junior year, he had his second most in a season with 52. He has 23.5 career sacks, 13.5 of which came this past season. He added 31 tackles for loss as well.

Andrew had seven sacks and 25 tackles for a loss this past season to go with 56 solo tackles. He has 158 career tackles and 11 sacks through two varsity seasons.

The twins are the third and fourth defensive players to commit to Beamer’s 2026 recruiting class, joining four-star cornerback J’Zavien Currence who committed last October, and three-star edge rusher Keenan Britt. It’s Beamer’s seventh commit overall so far for the 2026 recruiting cycle.
