The Indiana Fever are back in action on Thursday night in a home game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against the Las Vegas Aces. Indiana enters this game with a 12-12 record and is in dire need of a win after suffering back-to-back losses at the hands of the defending champions, the New York Liberty.
Caitlin Clark is still out of the picture for the Fever as she continues to nurse a lingering groin injury. She’s sitting out her third straight matchup on Thursday, and there is currently still no firm timetable for her return.
Sophie Cunningham got the nod to start again with Clark out. This is also the 28-year-old’s third consecutive start, and she has responded with double-digit scoring in her previous two starts — a streak that extends to five consecutive contests.
As always, Cunningham also made sure to dress for the occasion. She arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in an edgy black ensemble that effortlessly combined chic and sporty elements.
The 6-foot-1 guard wore a halter-style black top that featured a cut-out design and sheer mesh paneling at the midsection. Cunningham paired her eye-catching top with high-waisted black mini shorts and classic black pointed-toe stiletto pumps. The veteran guard capped off her gameday look with dark rectangular sunglasses.
Cunningham’s confident and fashion-forward ensemble quickly stole the spotlight among the fans.
