Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Sends Message to OKC Thunder Fans After NBA Finals Game 2 originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Paycom Center was rocking on Sunday night as their Oklahoma City Thunder faced off against the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Oklahoma City entered Sunday’s game looking to bounce back after their collapse in Game 1 that allowed Indiana to steal a victory on the road.
That is exactly what the Thunder were able to do as they pulled off a dominant victory in Game 2 on their home court on Sunday night.
Oklahoma City got off to an early lead and never looked back as they were able to grab a crucial 123-107 victory to even up the series.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for the Thunder as he recorded 34 points, five rebounds, eight assists and four steals in the victory.
The Thunder also saw their other stars in Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren also put together incredible performances on Sunday night while Alex Caruso and Aaron Wiggins both had huge performances off the bench.
After the game, Shai met with the media where he sent a clear message to Thunder fans after their Game 2 victory over the Pacers.
“It seems like they get louder every game,” Shai said about the Thunder’s home crowd at the Paycom Center. “I don’t know how they do it. They’re the best fans.”

This was a great message by Shai and he made a solid point about the Thunder’s home crowd.
Of course, Oklahoma City has been a tough place to play for opposing teams all season due to the Thunder’s dominance at home, which can be credited to their fans.
The fans in Oklahoma City have turned it up even more in the playoffs as they continue to have the Paycom Center rocking as they cheer on the Thunder who are looking to win their first championship since the franchise relocated to Oklahoma City.
Now the Thunder will head to Indiana, another tough place to play thanks to the crowd, as they try to take control of the series with a victory.
