13 SEC teams will kick off their 2025 football seasons on Saturday in Week 1.
Missouri will open its campaign on Thursday against Central Arkansas (7:30 p.m. EDT, SEC Network), while Auburn will travel to Baylor on Friday (8 p.m. EDT, Fox) and No. 13 South Carolina is slated to face Virginia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia on Aug. 31 (3 p.m. EDT, ESPN).
No. 18 Tennessee will open play Saturday versus Syracuse. The nonconference game will also be contested at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and is slated for noon EDT (ABC). Rankings reflect the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Tennessee-Syracuse matchup is ranked as the third-best game in 2025.
