The 2025 NFL draft is days away, beginning next Thursday night. Teams are finalizing their draft boards, including the Arizona Cardinals.
As we approach the actual draft, Draft Wire managing editor Jeff Risdon has put together his final player rankings, ranking players 1-250.
This series of stories will break down each position group and list each player on the list, showing where they rank.
Here are the running backs. The Cardinals could draft a running back, but it probably won’t happen before Day 3.
NFL draft final player rankings: Running back

Possibilities for the Cardinals
There are 26 running backs in the top 250 here.
But because the Cardinals are set with James Conner and Trey Benson as their top two backs, like Emari Demercado as their third-down back and have DeeJay Dallas as a fourth back who plays special teams, drafting a running back is a luxury.
Don’t expect anyone on Days 1 or 2. That likely means we can just ignore from Jeanty to Sampson.
After that, we will see. Chances are they would take someone who is a solid returner or good as a pass-catcher or in pass protection.
