No more speculation: Belaïli is in Aïn Draham
Upon arrival, the Algerian international immediately began training with the group, as the squad awaits the arrival of all players by the end of the week. Brazilian midfielder Yan Sasse is still expected, having received special permission from the club to attend his wedding in his home country.Despite this return in the famous “Blood and Gold” colors, Belaïli’s future with the Tunisian club remains uncertain. His father and agent, Abdelhafid Belaïli, told Algerian daily “Compétition” that his son will not extend his current contract, which runs until June 2026.“Youcef will honor his commitment until the end, but he will not renew,” he stated, casting doubt over the player’s long-term intentions. He also hinted that a move back to Mouloudia d’Alger could be on the table for the upcoming winter transfer window: “Mouloudia is a historic club. Youcef has great memories there. A return remains possible, especially with the club set to play in the Champions League.”Since rejoining Espérance, Belaïli has put in a stellar season: 36 matches played, 19 goals scored, and 16 assists delivered. However, he also picked up 16 yellow cards.
