Inter Milan are set to sign young River Plate attacking midfielder Lucas Scarlato for their newly-formed Under-23 team.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan are eyeing up a move for young River Plate attacking midfielder Lucas Scarlato.
The Nerazzurri are no strangers to signing players from the Argentine league. Particularly players who are on the younger side.
And that would be exactly the kind of prospect Lucas Scarlato is.
Though the Argentine is only sixteen years of age, there is already a sense that he can make a difference.
Inter To Sign River Plate Midfielder Lucas Scarlato For Under-23 Team
The question is what Inter’s plan for Scarlato will be.
Naturally, at sixteen years of age, the Argentine could very well play for the Nerazzurri at a number of youth team levels.
However, according to Tuttosport, Inter’s ambition would be to have Scarlato ready for the Under-23 team.
Next season will be the first for Inter at that age level.
The Nerazzurri will join the likes of Juventus and AC Milan who have set up teams at that level. In the form of their Juventus Next Gen and Milan Futuro teams respectively.
