Luka Doncic isn’t the only athlete in the City of Angels trimming down. The Los Angeles Rams feature a weapon who opened up about his own weight loss.

L.A. and Sean McVay have noticed a trimmer Blake Corum. The running back brought his new physique over to Loyola Marymount University for NFL Training Camp.

Corum once looked a stocky and physical 210+ pounds. He even played at nearly 215. But he revealed to L.A. Daily News Rams reporter Adam Grosbard that he’s dropped to 205-206.

“I feel way faster. I hit 22 miles per hour a bunch of times in OTAs. So I’m back to how I was feeling not playing so heavy,” Corum revealed to Grosbard.

The RB has played at that weight before. He emerged as a 27-touchdown machine in Ann Arbor with that frame.

“You do trial and error. Now 205, 206, that’s where I feel my best at, my fastest at, cutting ability and I’m still pound-for-pound as strong as I’ve ever been,” Corum said.

Corum is aiming to build off a somewhat quiet rookie season. He accumulated just 207 yards on 58 carries. Unfortunately his best runs got erased because the yellow marker came out from the referees.

His rookie year then ended in disappointing fashion with a broken forearm. He eventually watched the Philadelphia Eagles end the Rams’ season in the snow. Corum, though, shared a big admission from ’24 too.

“Sometimes last year I felt like I was just a little too hesitant,” he explained. “I didn’t know if this was the right move, kind of a robot a little bit. Where now I’m just out there playing fast and if a mistake happens, it happens but I’m gonna do it full speed and live with it.”

He added he felt he needed everything to be perfect for his rookie season. Now he’s taken what he’s learned — and adding his new weight loss with it.

Corum impressed during day five of Rams camp per team reporters Wyatt Miller and Stu Jackson. He took part in a run-oriented practice session. McVay added how Corum impressed with his jump cuts and jukes in the open field.
