Puka Nacua shares his thoughts on the possibility of the Rams adding Jalen Ramsey

Jalen Ramsey is on the trade block and there’s at least a chance he’ll land back with the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams and Miami Dolphins have had discussions about a potential trade, Les Snead said, though there are hurdles to get through in order to make a deal happen.

Puka Nacua was asked about the possibility of the Rams acquiring Ramsey in a trade and he’d be all for it. He told DJ Siddiqi of RG that it would be “really fun” to hone his skills against such a talented cornerback.

“I think somebody coming back home to Los Angeles who’s won a Super Bowl would be a great addition for the Rams,” Nacua said. “His physical stature. There’s a mindset that he plays with, he has swagger, his confidence when he walks out there on the football field, knowing what he’s capable of definitely gives him an edge. It would be really fun to work our skills against each other if he were to come over here, but whether we see him in a Rams uniform or out there, I know we’ll be getting good work.”

Snead is unsure where the Dolphins are in the process of possibly moving Ramsey, but he and Sean McVay are open to the possibility of bringing the All-Pro corner back to Los Angeles. His contract makes any trade tricky, especially given the dead money Miami will have to eat, but it sounds like a split is likely to happen.

The Rams acquired Ramsey in 2019 for multiple first-round picks and traded him to Miami in 2023 for a third-rounder and tight end Hunter Long. It would probably only take a third-rounder to acquire Ramsey, which the Rams have two of in this year’s draft, but trading a 2026 draft pick is more likely given the timing.
