PSG stars deliver subtle warning to Mbappe and Real Madrid before CWC semi final – ‘We are ready to fight’

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery has issued a strong warning to Real Madrid and his former teammate Kylian Mbappe ahead of their much-anticipated FIFA Club World Cup semi-final showdown.

While acknowledging his friendship with the French superstar, the PSG youngster made it clear that there will be no room for sentiment once the match kicks off.

“He’s a very good friend,” said Zaire-Emery after PSG’s training session.

“We’ve spoken about it before with the French national team. He has many friends here, but tomorrow, no one will give him anything. Each of us will be defending our own colours.”

Praise for Mbappe

PSG players are well aware of the challenge that lies ahead. Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz spoke highly of Mbappe’s talent and past contributions to the Parisian side.

“We all know Kylian’s quality and how important he is to Real Madrid now. He gave us a lot, and it was a pleasure to play with him. I will always wish him the best, except for tomorrow.”

Furthermore, Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also weighed in, admitting that Mbappe adds an extra layer of danger to Real Madrid.

“He’s one of the best players in the world. With him, they are definitely more dangerous. But that won’t change anything. We are ready to fight, no matter who we face.”

A battle of equals

Looking ahead to the semi-final, Ruiz stressed that PSG approach the match with respect, hunger, and no fear.

“It’s going to be a great game, no doubt. Very difficult. But we’ve come with a lot of desire and ambition to make it to the final. Real Madrid is full of quality, but so are we.”

“There are no favourites,” he added. “Real Madrid are a big team, but so are we. It’s going to be close, and we’re ready for the challenge.”

With pride, friendship, and a place in the final on the line, tonight’s clash promises fireworks and not just between Mbappe and his old teammates.
