The lone team event on the PGA Tour has secured the biggest draw. Making it official Friday evening, the Tour released the field list for the 2025 Zurich Class of New Orleans, which confirmed that Masters champion Rory McIlroy will indeed return alongside pal Shane Lowry to defend their title.
“We’ll be there. I talked to him (Wednesday) morning. We’re good to go,” Lowry told Golfweek.
McIlroy jetted home to Northern Ireland to celebrate the green jacket and the completion of the career Grand Slam. Lowry was among the 72 golfers in this week’s RBC Heritage, a no-cut signature event in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Also headed to Nawlins are three pairs of brothers:
- Matt Fitzpatrick-Alex Fitzpatrick
- Rasmus Hojgaard-Nicolai Hojgaard
- Jeremy Paul-Yannik Paul
