PFF: Wisconsin Badger among top 10 returning offensive tackles for 2025 football season

While the 2025 college football season is still months away, Wisconsin players are already earning national recognition. ProFootballFocus recently released its top 10 returning offensive tackles for the upcoming season. At No. 10: Badgers right tackle Riley Mahlman.

Mahlman, who slots just behind Indiana’s Carter Smith and Duke’s Brian Parker II, is entering his redshirt senior season with the Badgers. The veteran delivered an impressive 2024 campaign, earning much-deserved national attention from analysts and NFL draft talent evaluators. The Lakeville, Minnesota, native ultimately decided to return to college for the 2025 season, where he’ll lead the Badgers’ offensive line.

Mahlman is one of the three offensive tackles from the Big Ten to make PFF’s top 10 list, joining Smith (Indiana) and Gennings Dunker (Iowa).

With the hiring of new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes, Wisconsin will look to return to its roots of hard-nosed, run-heavy football. That all starts with the play up front. It’s clear that analysts believe Mahlman will be a major positive in that regard.
