The Buffalo Bills hit plenty of needs during the 2025 NFL draft.
At the top, first-round rookie cornerback Max Hairston adds to a position group with Christian Benford leading the depth chart, who recently signed an extension to remain in Buffalo.
But there is always room for improvement.
While the Bills did fortify their secondary during the draft, Pro Football Focus sees a need for more there. Not at cornerback, rather, at safety.

Currently the Bills are rolling into 2025 with the likes of Taylor Rapp, Damar Hamlin and Cole Bishop there. It’s not a star-studded group, but heading into his second season it appears Buffalo is giving Bishop every opportunity to step up after not adding to the position group this offseason.

The Bills are a mostly complete team, but they earned the second-lowest PFF coverage grade from their safeties of any team in 2024 (41.3). Damar Hamlin and Taylor Rapp are back for 2025, so Buffalo may want to add more depth to the unit.
