Patriots RB looks almost unrecognizable after weight loss

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson posted an image on Instagram of himself on the practice field during the spring, and he looks like he’s lost a significant amount of weight.

If he wore a different jersey number, he would look unrecognizable.

Stevenson is coming off a disappointing 2024 season that saw him tally 207 carries for 801 yards and seven touchdowns. Perhaps the most concerning part of his game was the fact that he had seven fumbles throughout the season.

He’ll be facing more pressure this year with the Patriots upgrading the running back room by using a second-round pick on Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson at the 2025 NFL draft. If Stevenson continues to struggle this season, he could lose his starting job to the explosive young rookie.

It’s obvious that the struggles from last season have lit a fire under Stevenson. The Patriots are hoping that fire burns bright enough to take him back to 2022, when he rushed for a career-high 1,040 yards on the ground.

That version of Stevenson returning would do wonders for the offense as a whole and solidify the No. 1 running back role on the roster.
